Just back from a month guiding heliskiing at Last Frontier Heliskiing, and a short stint at Mike Wiegele Heliskiing - wow... what a strange mix of experiences! I saw lots of different terrain, different styles of operations, and worked with some other great guides. The skiing was amazing at times, and a bit rugged after wind storms in the alpine made extensive windslabs! Overall it was great, and now I'm looking forward to some days at home!
Nadja and I hooked up in Jasper this weekend and spent one night at the Jasper Park lodge before heading into the Edith Cavel hostel on cross country skis for a rustic night out!
I'll be going into Powder Creek lodge next sunday to guide a ski touring group, then my ski season will be winding down slowly with a few spring ski mountaineering trips. Yah!
I look forward to catching up with friends for some of these trips!!!
